No, usually it doesn’t. The adhesive component of Dermalize Protective Film will only stick to the dry skin around the tattoo; it won’t adhere to the weeping area of the tattoo wound. If used as intended, on a tattoo that is moist, it is not possible. To ensure the tattoo is moist and help alleviate the bandage sticking to the tattoo we recommend the use of a non mineral oil ointment like Dermalize Velvet Cream applied thinly to the tattoo before applying Dermalize Protective Film.
